As some of you are aware, Broncofest VIII is scheduled for April 15-17, 2011. Although planning is ongoing, we want you to be aware of what is in the works. First off, we have arranged a very good rate at the Radisson in Fort Worth, the same place as Broncofest VII in 2009. This year however the rate will be $89.00 per night. We also have rooms reserved at the Super 8 (hooch location-like last time) for $65.00 and at the Baymont for $59.00 per night. We will have links for you soon, but if you call now just ask for the "OV-10 Bronco Group Rate." The rates will be good Thursday thru Saturday nights.
Activities will begin on Friday with a reception Friday night.
Saturday we have multiple activities centered around the museum. Our Broncos need work, so we are planning a work party for any of you who would like to get your hands dirty, drink a beer or two and tell a few lies in the process. That will begin in the morning. Late morning we are scheduling a brewery tour and lunch at the Rahr Brewery here in Fort Worth. Beer and BBQ. Later Saturday afternoon, a trip to NAS Joint Reserve Base Carswell is being planned to attend the Naval Aviation Centennial Air Show featuring the Blue Angels. For those who stay at the museum, we will have a family picnic with a cook out, beverages, train rides and horse shoes.
Saturday evening will be our awards dinner and Yankee Air Pirate party with silent auction. The hooch will be open Friday and Saturday evenings when other activities are not being conducted.
Sunday will be a farewell brunch in the morning.
We will have registration and pricing soon, but wanted you all to be aware of the planning in progress.
Just as a straw poll, please let us know if you are thinking about attending this year.
