'All FAC' Scale Model Contest and FAC Aircraft Fly-In

On October 16, 2004 from 0900 to 1700 hours, the FAC Museum Modelers Chapter of IPMS Region 6 will present the First Annual "All Forward Air Controller's Air Vessels" Scale Model Contest and FAC Aircraft Fly In.

Admission fees will cover entry to the event, entry of model exhibits, or vendor table fees. The entry fees will also provide admission to the Vintage Flying Museum and OV-10 Bronco Association exhibits. Fees will be collected at the door. Refreshments will be available.

General Admission:
Adults 18 and up: $5.00
Children 10-17: $1.00

Model Exhibitors Entry Fee (per entered model):
Adults 18 and up: $2.00
Children 10-17: $1.00

Exhibitors Table: $20.00

This event is sponsored by the OV-10 Bronco Association and will be held in the hangar of the Vintage Flying Museum in Fort Worth, Texas at Meacham Field, Hangar 33 South at 505 NW 38th Street.

This contest will be for 1/48 and 1/72 scale model entries of Forward Air Control (FAC) related air vessels from the Civil War through the Present.

Nine categories will be judged:

  • U.S. Air Force
  • U.S. Army
  • U.S. Marines
  • U.S. Navy
  • Foreign Military
  • Judge's Grand Award
  • People's Choice
  • Any Scale Aircraft Diorama
  • Juniors (under 17)
