We had some very special visitors to the museum today, 8 members of the Colombian Air Force dropped in. One of them was Julio "Sombra" Palacios, former OV-10 squadron commander. He and the others are here in the United States undergoing training. They were accompanied by Jose Gonzales of Airinc, their instructor. We spend a couple hours showing them the sights, including a tour of Chuckie, the B-17 Flying Fortress. They provided us with some pictures and patches, and we gave them hats and shirts. Julio hopes to come back for Bronco Fest IV in October.
They were just in time to see us setting up for next week's Scout Aviation day. I've included a couple pictures of the Colombian groups as well as OBA Chairman Ron Fix, President Tim Sikorski, Secretary Keith Dunn and myself. Julio is standing next to me in the white shirt with sunglasses.
