Welcome aboard all!
If you didn't get the notice last week, we just got word that the Venezuelan Air Force is holding an OV-10 symposium in Maracaibo next month April 11-13. We have been invited to attend. If that fits for anyone, let me know. I am gathering names and information.
On September 21-24, the USAF FAC "Homecoming" Reunion - 2000 will take place in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The primary objective of this year's reunion will be the dedication of the new FAC Memorial at the Hurlburt Air Park, which now includes OV-10A number 155626.
The OBA has been invited "as a squadron" to attend and join in the celebration. Bill Sleigh has volunteered to help coordinate accommodations at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. Our tentative plans are to host a hospitality suite and set up our PX. The reunion information contact is Claude Newland at (850) 654-2955 or email@example.com
Events will include a flight suit party, tour of Hurlburt, Memorial Dedication, golf tournament, FAC Business meeting and banquet.
We will have more info for you as the plans develop.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank the FAC Reunion Committee for extending an invitation to the Bronco Association to attend their event.
Here we grow again:
Since our formation not quite two years ago, the idea and spirit of the OV-10 Bronco Association has grown beyond what many folks expected. A sure sign of that was outgrowing our modest little space at the Vintage Flying Museum in Fort Worth. Recently Ron negotiated a larger room for us to use as our headquarters and display area. One day very soon, local members will be invited to help celebrate by helping us move.
Membership and reenlistments are also on the rise. I have just sent out membership materials to our 123rd member. A new membership directory will be posted in the vault soon. When you go over it, if you notice someone without an email address, why not copy the directory and this update and send it off to them - they will appreciate it, and it will save me a little time. I hate to have anyone left out in the dark.
Thanks for your support and efforts.
