OBA Update - November 13, 1998

SUMMARY:  OBA approved as non-profit by IRS, President's message

Only a short update with a couple of items, both very important. First, we got our blessing from the IRS last week. We are officially a non-profit organization approved by the IRS. This will open a lot of doors for us and is vital to our mission. This approval can takes months if not years, but Mike's dogged determination got it done in weeks. Way to go Mike.

The second item comes from Mike himself. I will be in touch again around Thanksgiving.

Jim "Grump" Hodgson

It is my great pleasure to welcome you aboard and thank you for joining the OV-10 Bronco Association. We are a rapidly growing organization dedicated to preserving the history of the OV-10.

We have very ambitious plans for the future, but to accomplish this we will need the help of each and every member. Those of us who live in the Dallas - Fort Worth area will be able to work on the aircraft restoration but everyone can help by letting others know we are here and by contributing pictures and history of the aircraft and its missions to the library and data base. Our plan is to be THE repository of historical data on the OV-10 Bronco.

I look forward to meeting every member in person. There will be planned events in the future, of course, but I want to extend a warm welcome to you to visit your Association whenever you can.

With our Web site and chat rooms, we should have one of the best communications networks available. Help us in any way you can, and let us know how we might be a better organization.

Mike Richardson (Harly)
President, OV-10 Bronco Association
